talk to me mulu

Things I Don’t Understand, Fashion Edition:

1. Cashmere t-shirts

2. Sweaters with 3/4-length sleeves

3. Those Converse with two sets of canvas or leather outers and two sets of laces (see here, apparently they are called “doubles”)

4. Cashmere tank tops

5. Wool mini-skirts

Yes, I’m looking for sweaters online, how’d you guess? It’s Jonathan’s fault. I ordered these bee-yoo-ti-ful shoes and they came in the mail today. In between my exclamations of fondest endearment for these shoes I happened to mention that they’re available in red, and now he’s lobbying for me to return the very practical black ones and get the red ones. Which I’m not going to do (though maybe if I can find them on sale…). But that sent me to ebay to see if there are any fun sweaters around, because this librarian needs cardigans stat.

So, here we are! Where are you?

Can we add sweater dresses to that list?

Love, love the shoes! I got a (black) pair on eBay with perforated toes. So cute.

I’m always looking for cardigans on the cheap, but other than Tulle haven’t found any good ones lately.

BTW, re your comment on my blog (which I should probably respond to there, but I am here, and lazy) — I think you were talking about the Myers-Briggs — and when I took it I was INTJ. Just thought it was funny that’s what you chose because only 1% of the populations shakes out that way.

Indeed! I just don’t get anything sweatery that doesn’t have long pants/sleeves. Because won’t your non-sweater covered parts get cold?

I did find some okay cardigans on ebay for less than $20/each, but they are all ending at weird times so I might miss them, bah. I need to get ebay to send things to my computer phone (i.e. email), I think.

I just looked it up and I got ESFJ, but I remember when I took it that I was very close to I and to T. Also I remember that teaching was listed as a career for ESFJ, but librarian was under another type. And I do really enjoy the teaching I do in my job, so there you go!

I was wrong, I took it again and am INFJ but very close to INTJ so maybe that’s what I got before.

INTJs are supposed to be the science/engineer types and INFJs are the Humanitarians.

It’s very interesting though I’m not sure I know if it’s telling me something I don’t already know.

I have also done some of those career books in the past and think I’ll have to revisit them in the near future.

I like 3/4 length sleeves because sleeves are always too long for my short arms. They end up being 7/8 length sleeves, which is better than 9/8 length sleeves.

She blinded me with mulu.

That is all.

Yeah, those long monkey sleeves used to bother me, too. But these days I find that I’m always cold in the winter (bah, getting old) so I kind of like the 9/8 length sleeves.

Yay for Thomas Dolby! I am finally getting around to playing with my USB turntable today, and that is the first record I’m gonna rip.
