you can learn a lot of things from the flowers

Yippee, it snowed! And a whole lot, too — over 2 feet, which the Times says is a record. For some weird reason Gus didn’t want to go sledding (unless you count Jonathan or I pulling him all over the place while he yells “faster!” as sledding). But we did get out and tromp around a lot, and I made a snow angel in our courtyard. And it is even the best kind of snow ever: a wonderful, gorgeous snowy day BUT there is still school tomorrow AND the alternate side parking is likely to be cancelled all week, woo hoo!
The snow, that’s really my big news here. Of course there’s a ton of other stuff going on here, but it’s all much to personal for the whole internets to know about. No, I won’t tell you, it’s PERSONAL. Email me if you are really interested (which I’m sure you’re not, seriously, it’s really not THAT interesting).
Oh, except that I have a new niece! Elizabeth Mary Smale is 8 days old today, and she’s a real cutie. I know that those of you out there in webland who know my brother are completely flummoxed right now, as he is perpetually 10 yrs old and playing soccer in your minds. Mine, too.
