I don't know why I clicked back here from your last post, but I did -- and happened to see the comment about the microscope and your wedding.

It made my day.

And yes, it is hard to use. You need to be near a window.

Looking forward to hearing how the cheek scraping turns out.

Em, those old mirror microscopes are so great! We also have one that has a mirror -- we registered for it for our wedding, because we are weirdos. But it is hard to use.

No blood yet, but tonight Gus was reading Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body and there's an experiment that involves cheek scraping and iodine (both of which we have), so I think that'll be the next event.

Argh, we need to get our pumpkins! Should have done it over the weekend, but flaked. Unless the boys get them after school this week we will not have time to do it until Sunday.

I was given my dad's microscope (50x? 25X?) when I was about Gus's age. I had one slide. It was animal blood.

The microscope is in Henry's closet - it uses a mirror instead of batteries to light up the slide. I love it to death but the idea of one that plugs into the computer is very appealing.

Wow that IS cool. I'm not telling Max.

Next thing you know he'll want to sign up for forensic daycamp at the museum.

He should have been here when A. went through the door -- lots of blood and glass everywhere! I don't recommend trying that at your house tho.

We have to do pumpkins tonight. Well don't "have" to but it would be good. Also need to find overalls for A's Big Boy costume!!!
