I have completely mixed feelings about ads in commercials. To this day I feel like I should buy a volkswagen when I hear the Ivy song “Beautiful.” But I remember reading an article about the Apples in Stereo and they were saying that it was really great to get some actual money from one of their songs, and it made me think that well, a lot of these bands *do* probably need the money.

Am I old and hypocritical for finding the use of The Clash in credit card commercials outrageous? Rolling Stones? Fine. But not Mick and Joe and Paul and Topper! Ah, bloody hell. The ones that are left probably need the money…

Oh that commercial airs pretty often in the afternoon.
Sad that they use that song, sad that I know the commercial.
