the kids are coming back now

It’s 96 degrees here in Brooklyn, though it feels like 100 (so says weather.com) and it’s getting hotter still. I am dreading having to leave the apartment to get Gus from school, but I guess we can’t leave him there forever. Thank god for sprinklers.
